The discussion was very fantastic this morning. It was unbelievable to talk to five or six nations at the same time. They all came from different countries, but we had ardent discussions about the racism in different countries. Due to the different cultures, even though we had the same problem, the reasons and solutions had completely diverse. We shared the opinions and individual questions with each other. And we had small groups to have a conversation with different representatives. Like we talked to a doctor who is from India, she told us that India's racism problems were lack of education. If they can get involved in solving such problems, the racism can be decreased.

It's difficult to ask all people to have the same insights. Therefore, we have to have discussions and debates under many situations. The process does not mean to get the result that who is winner and to demonstrate who is right. People can share their thoughts and stories with others. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn about others' ideas and absorb fresh nutrition. In such process, we get developed and learn to exchange situations. Finally, we can get more completed blueprint.  

I had lunch with Korean friends together today. We talked about a lot about Chinese drama and Korean drama. Because story which happened in palace in ancient China is very famous. Many people like to watch such types of drama. Korean dramas alway play the similar stories. But many people, especially young generation, like to watch them. Due to the handsome or beautiful characters, the story give us many dreams.

I saw some news about life of poor people in the TV or newspaper. At first, I feel unfamiliar with them. They suffered natural disasters and battles. The basic need was a big problem for them. After I learned more about them, I knew that they lived in a special society called "the Third World". Many children lost their parents and many people didn't have enough food and clothes. Then education and health care were even luxurious thing in their world. I had an idea that I could help them ,even though it's small things. So I took more attention on such institutions which are aimed at helping struggled people. I took charge of connecting with some people or organizations that are willing to help others. As a bridge, I hope I can help more people convey their kondness to some who need aids. 

I organize things which are on the desk. I always need enough space to use computer or do homework. If it's crowded, I will feel dysphoric. But in other field, I don't organize clothes which are on the my bed. In my bed, there are many clothes, like sleeping clothes,T-shirt, sweaters and so on. When I come back, I must exchange my clothes. I never wear clothes which are worn outside. At home, I choose some sportswear. And before I go to sleep, I will exchange my sleeping clothes. So most of clothes which are always worn are put on my bed. It's convenient for me to exchange different style. I can find what I need to wear easily and quickly. What's more, I feel safe and comfortable when I am surrounded by my clothes.

The boy called Pip is brought up by his sister and her husband. When he was a young child, he met a strange man and stole some food for the man. He was afraid to be found what he did. Fortunately，due to some soldiers, his sister didn't know anything. After several years,Pip started learning to be a blacksmith by working with Joe.And Pip knew many things about Joe. Occasionaly,Pip had a chance to meet Miss Havisham and felt strangerous about her. But he didn't have a choice to do other things and had to confront her. When he came back, his sister eagered to know something about the woman.

THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS

It is very often to see many news about campus violence,especially shottings cases. This is an urgent situation which need to consider. Is it appropriate that everyone has a right to carry arms in the real life? Many cases has told us that the answer is no. If everyone has a right to occupy guns in law, in fact, only some of them can protect themselves. Maybe goverment asks for that none of people can carry guns, which will be better choice.

We made some Chinese food in our house yesterday. My roommates are good at cooking.As long as we have free time, we make some food which we like to enjoy ourselves. We made fried rice with potatoes and vegetable salad. Maybe the food is not taseted very good. I think the process which we make food is more important than the final result. Everyone attributed the hard work to the dishes.After having dinner, we talked about some interesting news which happened in daylight. As roommates,we do not only share the dishes, but also share the ideas and news around us. In the house, we are not just roommates ，especially family.

Unit 14

Is it important for you to be environmentally aware?

Environment issues are very important things for everyone. All of people must aware that as long as you live in the atmosphere, you have to care about the environment. More and more environmental problems come up now, such as air pollution and water pollution. We have to breathe and drink the water, these issues are very vital to us. Everyone should know how to protect our atmosphere.We can take more public transportation and not throw any rubbish into the river. Someone maybe think these are just little things. But all of these can improve our awareness about the environment. I think when everyone has the same ideas about environment, there are many things to be changed.

Do you believe that happiness corresponds with money?

Someone thinks that money can bring happiness. Because they can buy anything they want and go to anywhere. But in fact, all of these happiness is temporary. Money just gives you a chance to go, but it can not give true feeling. People need communication to be closer friends.When you feel upset or sad, you can not buy happiness. We also see many happy family who do not have much money. They trust their families and share happiness and unhappiness together. They do not care to buy expensive things,but enjoy other feelings with families. We can not think happiness nust correspond with money. It's too narrow thoughts.

Unit 13

When you ride on the subway or train, do you put your bag on the seat next to  you so that a person is not likely to occupy the seat, or do you feel this is rude? Explain why.

I will not do like that. Everyone buys the ticket for their trip.Anyone doesn't have the right to deprive other's seats. It is very rude to occupy one seat by putting a bag or a book. The seat is designed for people, not for things. Sometimes I see someone putting books on the desk to occupy one seat in order to other friedns. And some old people or children stand next to the seat, the person will not move the bag. I can not stand such situation. We can not judge one person from the age,social status,wealth and other attachment. As long as one person pay for the ticket, he can get the same service.

What recent innovation has had the greatest impact on your life? Explain why.

I think that smart phone is a great innovation. In the past, people can just use phones to call someone and send messages. But now, people can do anything through smart phones which have similar functions with computers. We can do many things on the smart phones and without opening the computers. It is convenient to send Emails, listen to the music and have shopping on the smart phones. Because everyone carry the smart phones all the time, they can deal with many things through smart phones. In the future, computers may be replaced by the smart phones. And many young people prefer making friends on the social websites . The smart phone has become an approach to communicate.

UNIT12

Do you want your close friends to have interests and opinions that are identical to yours? Explain why this would or would not facilitate your friendship.

If we have the same opinions and interests, I will feel happy. Because we are as friends, I hope we can do many things together. When we have free time, it is a good way to go shopping and do sporting. We like the same style of clothes, she can help me choose one and tell me which is better. If I know some good meals in special restaurants, she can come to have a dinner together. As long as friends communicate several times, they will facilitate their friendship and understand each other better. I do not think that friends who have different hobbies and habitats can have fun together. They may have much controversy about anything.

Create a scheme that would allow you to retire at age forty-five. Explain how this scheme would work.

If I have a chance to retire at age forty-five, I will grab all my time to travel many places where I ever dream to go. I have worked hard in the past years, after retire I hope to emjoy my life. And I can try things which are exciting and amazing. The life is filled with surprise, you can widen your sight to enjoy more things which are never tried before. It is an amazing race. In many places, there are fantastic scenery to see. Even though it is not the most beautiful, but you can relax your mind. This is the belief of trip. Then I will call some close friends to make a sample scheme about the trip. We can stay at some places for longer time which we are interested in. The time is flexible according to our situations.

UNIT11

Do you feel that the government of your native country funds the arts too much, the correct amount , or not enough? Explain why.

In our country, government funds the arts little. We have a few prizes and medals for the intellgent artists. At fact, there are many people who are interested in art , but they lack chance to accept ture art. Some children like drawing by their imagination, but they do not have professional teachers to tell them how to use the imagination well. Some children like all kinds of dance, but they do not have appropriate places to play. Everyone has perfect inspiration. Government should fund more money to encourage more people to discover art abilities. They can make some people who love art careers to develop better and create more works. Government should try their best to build advanced devices and outstanding prizes to award good artists.

If the high schoolin your town wanted to use a mental detector to check whether students were bringing weapons to school, would you support this decision?Why or why not?

I will agree this. Now, we always can hear some news about school security.Government should pay more attention to such problems in order to more students safety. Because some students may have psychology illness or mental problem.They will do some crazy things if no one find them who carry dangerous weapons.School can not make sure what every student brings to school. Maybe this approach is a good way. Before students go into school, mental detector will check everyone. This way can save much time and protect the privacy of students. I believe all of students and parents will support the new policy.

UNIT10

Describe something that is a symbol of your native country . Do you feel that it is the most appropriate symbol, or can you suggest something else that would better symbolize your country?

In our country, there is a kind of animal called panda. It is the symbol of China. Panda has black eyes and black-white stripes fur. Usually, they prefer to eating bamboo and fruits. Because of their lovely look, all of people like them in China. And they  have temperate character and ask for hug to feeders. Even though panda is a type of fierce animal, but it always present cute behaviors. I think it is a good symbol in China. Due to the rare of panda, they just can have a life in China. People can not see any pandas in other countries. China can provide the best atmosphere and care for them.


Describe a trend that you notice happening where you live. What is this trend, and why does it interest you?

In the past, most of people think that having much meat is better. Because the life is very hard, they don't have time to exercise and choose healthier food. But now, people have higher quality of life and want to chase health. When people have meals, they will choose to eat more vegetables , fruits and approprite meat. At each meal, people pay more attention to all kinds of food, not just only one. What's more, exercise has become an important part of life. This is new trend which promote people to chase healthy and simple life. And we have to admit this is a good trend. With the social develping, a new trend comes up. Because the mind of people changes a lot, what we will do also gets promotion.

Describe a bond that you feel with a person who is special to you. How did this bond develop?
I have a good friend called Ruby. When we had junior high school, we always went to school and came back home together. This bond made us like twins. Because we liked to wear the same style clothes and have similar hairstyle. In the summer holiday, we went to swim and ate icecream together. And in the winter holiday, we made a big snowman in the yard. Even though many years have gone, we never forgot what we did when we were young. The bond is never forgotten. Until now, we attended different universities in America. We often have a chat by wetchat or have a telephone. The bond makes us more closer , we can ignore the long distance.

Would you like to see your native country's population expand? Why or why not?
I don't hope the population wull be expanded in our country in the future. Because my country has become the second largest population in the world. If there are too many people in the country, the government will be difficult to control the country. And in the socitey , too many people can't be met amenity. A lot of people may lack of good medical care and quality of life. Some children may not have the choice to go to school because of poverty. All of theses situations are not good for a country to develop. If country expands freely, the problems of society will come up . Everyone wants to strong our country, but it's not a smart way to expand population.

Describe a person on whom you can always rely.
I respect my father a lot. He is an engineer who restores some bad condions in the mountains. And he knows a lot about many things in life. When I was a child, he taught me how to make the first step , how to tie shoes, and how to eat by myself. All of these gave me sweet memories until now. Even though I have grown up now, I still will ask for my father's advice when I feel confused. He can give accurate suggestion and tell me what need to take care. I always rely on what he told. When I have some things which are hard to choose , I hope he can help me analyse the situation. I rely on his choice which he offers.
If you were given 100,000 to start a foundatioin , what type of foundation would you start?
I want to set up a foundation which are used to help forgotten children. In many countries, the  country will have two or three world. They are totally different. Some children are abandoned by their parents when they are born.These children don't have anyone who can look after them and get supplied food for survive. So I hope this foundation can offer them the basic food and clothes.Of courese, if I have enough foundation , I hope to pay their tution in the future. Knowledge is the most important to them.
